VIP and rewards terms: how tiers, rebates and referrals are counted

A VIP programme ranks players by tier, and each tier usually carries different reward rates such as rebates and cashback. The eight terms below explain how a tier is reached, kept and counted. SlotKaki's own rates and conditions are not printed here, because the current values are shown in your account. The basic definitions of a rebate and turnover are in the payments glossary.

VIP tierLevel; VIP rank
Your position in a rewards programme, decided by your betting activity over a set period. On SlotKaki the listed tiers are Regular, Silver, Gold, Platinum and VVIP. Higher tiers usually bring a higher rebate rate and extra perks, but those perks come from a much larger volume of bets. Your current tier, your progress and the benefits of each tier are shown in your account.
Example: The VIP section of your account shows you at Silver, with a progress bar towards Gold.
Upgrade requirementPromotion criteria; tier target
The target you must reach to move up to the next tier, usually a total of valid bets or deposits within an assessment period. Some programmes review tiers on a fixed date, while others move you up the moment the target is met. Do not bet more just to chase a tier: the extra reward is almost always smaller than the expected cost of the betting needed to earn it.
Example: As an illustration, if a made-up target is RM20,000 of turnover a month and you have reached RM14,500, the progress bar shows RM5,500 to go.
Tier retentionMaintenance requirement; downgrade
The minimum activity you need in each assessment period to avoid dropping to a lower tier. It is often lower than the upgrade requirement, but it is still there. If you miss it, your rebate rate and perks normally follow the lower tier from the next cycle. A downgrade is not a penalty; it simply reflects less activity, which is a perfectly sensible outcome if you are cutting back on spending.
Example: You take a month off, your activity falls below the retention level, and at the next review you move from Gold to Silver with your balance untouched.
Tiered rebateRebate rate by tier
An arrangement where the rebate percentage on turnover rises with your VIP tier, and sometimes differs by game category, such as slots, live casino and sports. The rebate is worked out from valid bets within one cycle, for example daily or weekly, whether those bets won or lost. SlotKaki's rate for each tier and category is shown in your account; the figures in the example here are made up.
Example: As an illustration with invented rates, RM2,000 of turnover at 0.5% gives a RM10 rebate, while a higher tier's 0.8% gives RM16.
Valid betEffective turnover; valid turnover
The part of your turnover that actually counts towards rebates, VIP progress or promotion conditions. Voided or refunded bets usually do not count, and many programmes also exclude bets on both sides of the same market, or particular games listed in the terms. That is why the turnover figure in your bet history can be higher than the figure used to calculate rewards.
Example: You stake RM100 on Banker and RM100 on Player in the same baccarat round; that RM200 of turnover may not count as valid because the two bets almost cancel each other's risk.
CashbackNet-loss rebate; loss refund
A return calculated as a percentage of your net loss over a period, meaning total losses minus total wins, rather than of your turnover. That sets it apart from a rebate, which is paid on bets whether you finished ahead or behind. Some platforms use the word cashback for what is really a rebate, so read how the amount is worked out in the promotion terms. Cashback still means you lost money; it only trims the loss.
Example: As an illustration, an invented 5% cashback on a RM200 net loss for the week returns RM10, leaving a final loss of RM190.
ReferralReferral code; invite link; refer a friend
A programme that pays a reward when someone signs up with your referral code or link and meets set conditions, such as a first deposit or a turnover target. Where such a programme exists, its details are shown in your account. The friend must be 18 or over and hold the account in their own name; duplicate accounts or signing up on someone else's behalf break the terms. People offering deposit agent services are not part of any official programme.
Example: A friend registers through your referral link, and the reward only appears in your account once the conditions listed on the referral page are met.
Upgrade bonusLevel-up bonus; tier reward
A one-off reward that some VIP programmes give when you reach a new tier, unlike a rebate, which repeats every cycle. A bonus of this kind can carry its own turnover condition before it can be withdrawn, so read the terms before claiming it. Whether the bonus is offered at all, what it is worth and what conditions apply are all shown in your account and on the promotions page.
Example: After moving from Silver to Gold you see a button to claim a tier bonus, and you read its turnover condition first before pressing it.

VIP rewards build on ideas explained in the payment and account terms, especially turnover and the welcome bonus. Rebates and cashback lower the cost of play but do not remove the house edge; the maths behind that is in the entry on expected value. To estimate a rebate from your own turnover, use the Rebate Calculator: Estimate Cashback from Turnover with the rates shown in your account. If a reward starts to feel like a reason to keep playing, take that as a cue to pause.
